Different tracks

Hi,
Here I will post different tracks that I have updated little. They all will have good AI and load screens.

First is Nazareth (N99 converted Nazaretht). This archive contains two dat files. "Nazareth.dat" is track that was used before 1998. "Nazareth_from1998.dat" is N99 version of the track which was used from 1998.

.rar File  NAZARETH.rar (Size: 1.89 MB / Downloads: 70)

Second is Pikes Peak. Original Papy track from n3/n99 is longer then 1 mile. So I have resized track. One bug is present. It is one camera that look under the track. Can anybody put it higher?

.rar File  Pike.rar (Size: 830.83 KB / Downloads: 46)

RE: Different tracks

Hi,
Here is Gateway track. This is n99 conversion with some updates. I have made new 3do for trees and some objcts, that have big flat polygons. I also have made new AI.

There are two dat-files in the archive. "Gateway.dat" is the track thet was used before 1998. "Gateway_98.dat" is version with grandstand at first corner. This track was used since 1998.

Have fun!

RE: Different tracks

I just had to share this with you guys. It is part of my re-discovery of ICR2.

During a 200-lap race at Nazareth, Robby Gordon and Bobby Rahal are about to lap the car in front.

First Gordon goes past on the inside.

Followed by Rahal on the outside. (Is that Al Unser Jr in the Penske?)

Fast forward a couple of laps, and Gordon is held up by a backmarker allowing Rahal to get by on the inside for second place.

Just like it was on tv, or Youtube in my case.

RE: Different tracks

And here is my IMS. It's N3 version of track with some editions. If you know N3 IMS has 12 deg banking in turns and 3 deg banking on the straights. But real track has only 9 deg banking in turns and flat straights. So I fix it.

Good race

RE: Different tracks

Hail Pavel! (And hail to others as well..)

Anyway, why do you think Papy decided to change the banking in the first place? A difference of 4 degrees can't be an error.

Do you think Milwaukee has too much banking as well? It looks a lot flatter on tv, considering the depth perception loss.

RE: Different tracks

With the tools they use a small difference can be explained, but 4 degrees is a lot. Maybe it is because 12 degrees gives easier racing in the game?

Trust me, I know what I am doing

RE: Different tracks

Yes, Wolf_pd I think so. This track was made for nascar game, and stock cars are heavier

Milwaukee from icr2 and n99/3 have right banking of 9 deg
