Controls

How do I setup controls for ICR2? How do I race with my wheel? For some reason the game won't let me change the controls. When I push enter to change them it just changes the controls to "mouse x". What do I do?

RE: Controls

are you installing a new wheel? If so, did you extrace all previous software and drivers?

Are you able to calibrate the wheel from the game? Does ICR2 see the wheel?

when are you pushing enter?

RE: Controls

Does anyone know how to fix this? It is very annoying. I simply can't drive properly with the keys.

RE: Controls

I assume you're using the DOS version? if so you could make a boot disk, and then go edit it and take out the mouse drivers.  I did that once for a game, maybe someone else could actually explain exactly how it's done since that was a long time ago Grin3

RE: Controls

I had this problem and the fix is sorta simple. Sorta.

What version of ICR2 are you running?

DOS or windows?

Version 1.00, 1.01 or 1.02?

Most likely you need to update to version 1.02 but answer the above questions first and we'll go from there.

RE: Controls

Yeah.

1.00 has two bad bugs:

1) Setting the controls defaults to the mouse

2) Cars will pass under yellow flags.

I have the 1.02 patch for DOS but it is almost 8M. I can't upload it to the board and it's too big to email.

Any ideas how I can get it to you?
